Do I need Access installed on my PC to run ContactMaker?
The full version of Microsoft Access is not needed to run ContactMaker, but you must have at least a runtime version. If you have Access version 2000 or
later installed, just download ContactMaker. Otherwise, download "Access Runtime for ContactMaker" before you download ContactMaker itself. It's free, and will give you everything
you need.
I have downloaded ContactMaker but it won't work. I realise that this is because I didn't have Access
installed. What should I do?
Use the Control Panel to uninstall ContactMaker. Then download "Access Runtime for ContactMaker". Finally, reinstall ContactMaker.
I use Outlook Express. Can I use the Outlook versions of ContactMaker with this?
No. If you want to use the Outlook version of ContactMaker, you must have the correct full version of Outlook installed beforehand. The ordinary version
of ContactMaker interacts with Outlook Express, but compared with the Outlook version there is less functionality.
I originally had Outlook version 2003, and bought the Outlook 2003 version of ContactMaker to match
it. I now want to update to Outlook 2007. Will ContactMaker continue to work properly?
No, you will get errors. Backup your data, uninstall ContactMaker for Outlook 2003 and install ContactMaker for Outlook 2007. This is free, but you will
need a new passcode so make sure you obtain one first.
